EDWARDS CO., Ill. - Edwards County has put another meth-slinger away as of this afternoon.
Edwards County State's Attorney Eric St. Ledger said that Kevin M. Pickering, 28, was convicted in a plea agreement today on a 2016 offense of Meth Delivery. Originally, Pickering was the fortunate recipient of Edwards' largesse when in April of 2017 he was placed on probation; however, he apparently messed that up and so today was sentenced to five years in IDOC, reduced a bit with 165 days credit for time served.
Pickering is going to have to find gainful employment when he gets out in about two years (truth-in-sentencing and all, you know), as he owes an unpaid balance of $3852.00 in fines and fees.
