WHITE CO., Ill. - A man from Carmi in repeated trouble with the law in White County will be giving law enforcement and the courts a break, following his sentencing earlier today in court there.
But not much of one.
Jason L. Digby, 39, of Carmi, was sentenced Wednesday morning (August 29) on his three 2018 felony charges as follows:
Possession of a Stolen Vehicle (Class 2 felony), Aggravated DUI While License Revoked (Class 4 felony) and Aggravated Assault (Class 4 felony). On the first two, he received a sentence of four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, to be served concurrently (at the same time); on the stolen vehicle charge he has a two-year parole period upon release, and on the Agg DUI, one year.
The third sentence will be served consecutively (after the first two are served), and carries a year of parole upon release. All totaled, he'll be in IDOC for about three years, depending on how much jail time he'll have knocked off the state time.
Carmi PD was the arresting agency; Scott Webb was the judge in the case.
