WILLIAMSON CO., Ill. - After a one-time hiatus last week, Felony Friday for Williamson County is back this week, and it's a busy one! Felony Friday covers the felonies charged in Williamson County in the previous week, as well as felonies disposed of (terminated by either dismissal, nolle pros or conviction), and, while DUIs are filed as traffic misdemeanors, we cover those, too, since few other media do.
Here's this week's offering.
Dustin K. Knight, 29 of Marion, is charged with Aggravated Domestic Battery/Strangle and Domestic Battery with Bodily Harm.
Douglas E. Childers, 41 of Johnston City, is charged with three counts of Criminal Sexual Assault. At least four victims have come forward accusing Childers of inappropriate behavior. He is in the Williamson County Jail on a $7,500 cash bond.
Olympus E. Graham, 41 of Carbondale, is charged with Aggravated Domestic Battery/Strangle and Domestic Battery with Bodily Harm.
James W. Richardson, 57 of Carterville, has been charged with Aggravated Domestic Battery/Strangle.
Norvella A. Simmons, 29 of Herrin, has been charged with Domestic Battery/Other Prior.
Elijah HS Burton, 26 of Coulterville, has been charged with Domestic Battery/Strangle.
Jonathan W. Stacey, 27 of Herrin, has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine less than 5 grams.
Chandra D. Starks, 39 of Paducah, Ky., has been charged with Retail Theft.
Phillip L. Bowles, 43 of Marion, and co-conspirator Nicholas R. Jordan, 39 of Marion, are both being charged with Possession of Methamphetamine less than 5 grams.
Timothy L. Hastings, 29 of Johnston City, and co-conspirator Mathew L. Grant, 28 of Marion, are charged with Possession of Methamphetamine less than 5 grams.
Doyle A. Massengil, 51 of Herrin, is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine less than 5 grams.
Sherlyn Shulda, 46 of Johnston City, is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine less than 5 grams.
Devin D. Duncan, 25 of Carterville, is charged with Possession of Controlled Substance Except (A)/(D) and Criminal Damage to Property less than $500.
William J. Akes, 49 of Murphysboro, is charged with Failure to Report Address to Employer/ 2 or more.
Courtney E. Newsome, 24 of Herrin, and co-conspirator Kyla Elaine Jones, 26 of Herrin, have been charged with Retail Theft under $300.
Lynn Crespi, 66 of Herrin, has been charged with Possession of Cannabis between 100 and 500 grams, first offense.
Crespi attempted an overnight delivery to Arizona at one of the many local couriers. She stated the contents of the dog food box were dog food and a wine glass. The total came to $158.78,which she paid for with a card bearing her name. When she left the agent became suspicious and could detect an odor of cannabis emitting from the packaging. After opening the package, MPDNU was notified and 352.8 grams of THC wax and 14 grams of cannabis all field-tested positive for THC.
Crespi was arrested later that afternoon. Needless to say her package wasn’t on the afternoon stage.
Wesley J. Bloodworth, 21 of Herrin, has been charged with Manufacture/Delivery of Cannabis between 30 and 500 grams.
Felony Dispositions
James Ryan Burnett, 27 of Royalton, pled not guilty to Residential Burglary; that case was dismissed. He pled guilty to an added Theft charge and received 12 months probation and 47 days in jail with credit for time served. Later probation was revoked and he received 5 years in DOC to run concurrent with credit for 336 days served.
Jordan M. Kalinski, 20 of West Frankfort, pled not guilty to Possession of Methamphetamine less than 5 grams. Case dismissed court motion.
James Vailes, 24 of Marion, pled not guilty to Domestic Battery with Other priors and not guilty to Interfere Report Domestic. Both cases dismissed by court action.
Alan J. Cain, 37 of Herrin, pled not guilty to Burglary. Case dismissed on state’s motion
Tyler C. Sanders, 25 of Eldorado, entered no plea to Use Forged Credit/Debit Card, Nolle Prosequi.

In a separate DUI charge later the same year, judgment was withheld; she received 12 months court supervision and alcohol treatment in force plus fines.
