Jackson County man charged by feds with meth offense in Williamson County

JACKSON/WILLIAMSON CO., Ill. - On August 16, Kevin W. Page, aka “Dink,” 37, of Carbondale, made his initial appearance in federal court to face charges of conspiracy to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine.

Page was charged in a one-count indictment returned on August 7 by a federal grand jury sitting in Benton. The indictment alleges that the offense occurred in Williamson County between April 2017 and July 2018. Page is in federal custody and will be detained without bond pending trial, which is currently set for October 15, 2018.

If convicted, Page faces a sentence of 5 to 40 years imprisonment, no more than four years of supervised release, and a maximum fine of $5,000,000.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Southern Illinois Enforcement Group.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, Marion Police Department, and Herrin Police Department also assisted in the investigation.
