CLAY CO., Ill. - It was the usual fare of meth possession, driving infractions and warrant arrests during the first week of August for Clay County deputies, as this report by Sheriff Andy Myers outlines.
Aug. 1, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Caleb B. Fox, 19, Clay City, for Possession of Methamphetamine. Fox was given a Notice to Appear due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident and receiving medical treatment.
Aug. 3, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Danielle Hubbell, 32, Clay City, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving While Driver's License Suspended. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent) plus $75.00 warrant fee. She posted bond and was released.
Aug. 4, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Cody L. Cook, 33, Rinard, for Possession of Methamphetamine. He appeared in Clay County Court and bond was set at $15,000.00 (10 percent). He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.
Aug. 6, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested John Travis White, 37, Ingraham, on an outstanding Champaign County warrant for Petition to Revoke Probation on the original charge of Aggravated Battery/Public Place. Bond set at $10,000.00 (10 percent). He posted bond and was released.
Aug. 6, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Brandon J. Goodiel, 23, Xenia, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of a Vehicle with a Destroyed Vehicle Identification Number, Theft and Obstructing Justice. Bond set at $20,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond and was released.
Aug. 6, Donald E. Burkett, 37, Salem, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Aggravated Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer. Bond set at $1,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond and was released.
Aug. 6, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Elizabeth R. Levitt, 38, Flora, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Petition to Revoke Probation on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Illegal Possession of Hypodermic Syringes and Needles. Bond set at $25,000.00 (10 percent). She is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.
Aug. 6, Courtney C. Smith, 32, Cottage Hills, Illinois, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of D.U.I. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. She posted bond and was released.
