MONTROSE, Ill. - A driver was cited and passenger sent to an area hospital with minor injuries when the vehicle inexplicably drove off the road and crashed near Montrose.
Illinois State Police advise that the crash occurred very early this morning (1:21 a.m.) Tuesday, August 7.
ISP said that a 2004 Dodge Neon being driven by Caleb Eugene Imhoff, 33, of Goshen, Ind., was traveling Interstate 70 eastbound near the Montrose exit when, at milepost 105, the vehicle left the roadway to the right; no reason was given for this.
The Neon struck a delineator post with its passenger side and came to rest in the right ditch.
The front seat passenger, Cathryn Imhoff, 23, also of Goshen, was transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Another passenger, Katelynn Jane Kuhn, 21, of Cortez, Colorado, was apparently uninjured.
Caleb Imhoff was cited with Improper Lane Usage.
