Drug enforcement group makes meth bust in Herrin

HERRIN, Ill. - Another successful bust has been made by the Southern Illinois Enforcement Group (SIEG).

Earlier today (Thursday, August 2), SIEG, Williamson County Sheriff's Office Special Response Team (SRT) and the Herrin Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence located in the 300 block of South 17th Street in Herrin.

Bobby Tolbert, 50, was placed under arrest for Unlawful Delivery of Meth, Unlawful Possession of Meth With Intent to Deliver, and Unlawful Possession of Firearm Ammunition by a Felon. Tolbert was transported to the Williamson County Jail.

SIEG is a multi-juridictional unit which is comprised of agents from the Illinois State Police, Herrin PD and Williamson County Sheriff's Office. Contributing members of SIEG are Cambria, Carterville, Crainville, Creal Springs, Energy, Johnston City and Pittsburg police departments.
