CLAY CO., Ill. - Regular readers will recognize some of the names in this Clay County Sheriff's Department report...as well as those in Clay County who've had to put up with those who possess the names.

July 21, Derik London, 23, Flora, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charges Residential Burglary, Burglary and D.U.I. Total bond set at $8,000.00 (10 percent), plus $150.00 warrant fees. London appeared in Clay County court on a later date and was released.
July 21, Myles Bush-King, 25, Flora, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Bond set at $10,000.00 (10 percent). He posted bond and was released.
July 25, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Joshua Hill, 40, Flora, for Violation of Probation on the original charge of Domestic Battery. He appeared in Clay County court and was released.
July 25, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Kendra Lemond, 27, Fairfield, for Contempt of Court. Bond set at $250.00 cash. She posted bond and was released.
July 25, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Rodney Washington, 35, Flora, for Petition to Revoke Probation on D.U.I. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent). Washington posted bond on a later date and was released.
July 27, Amanda G. Williams, 38, Fairfield, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Deceptive Practice. Bond set at $3,500.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. She appeared in Clay County court and was released.
July 27, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy cited Gunner Landreth, 18, Flora, for Disobeying a Traffic Control Device. He was given a Notice to Appear and released.
July 29, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested D.J. Hill, 35, Clay City, for Criminal Trespass to Real Property. He was given a Notice to Appear and released.
July 30, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Heath Cozad, 22, Louisville, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Domestic Battery. Bond set at $7,500.00 (10 percent). He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.
Aug. 1, the Clay County Sheriff's Office was notified of a motor vehicle accident at 6:56 a.m. south of the intersection of U.S. Route 45 and Grove Creek Lane, south of Louisville. Apparently Caleb B. Fox, 19, Clay City, operating a 1991 Jeep Wrangler, was travelling north on U.S. Rt 45, lost control of his vehicle, ran off the roadway, over turned several times and came to rest in a cornfield. He was transported to Clay County Hospital for injuries. He was cited for
Unsafe Equipment and given a Notice to Appear.
