FLORA, Ill. - Flora Chief of Police John Nicholson has released his department's activity report for the end of July, and as usual, bad driving, battery and dope comprise the largest part of it.
Monday, July 23 at 7:17 am, Flora Police investigated an accident at the intersection of Hwy 45/50 and North Stanford Rd, involving a 2002 Jeep operated by Richard Owens, 19, of Olney and a 2000 Toyota operated by a 16 year old female, of Lerna. Owens was cited for Operating Uninsured Vehicle, Failure to Reduce Speed and Defective Brakes. No injuries were reported.
Wednesday, July 25 at 11:40 pm, Flora Police arrested Robert P.B. Snell, 24, of Louisville for Driving While License Revoked, following a traffic stop on North Olive. Snell underwent booking procedures at Flora Police Department and was released with a Notice to Appear.
Wednesday, July 25 at 4:15 pm, Flora Police arrested Robert Phillips, 36, of Flora for Battery, following an incident in the 400 block of East 5th Street. Phillips underwent booking procedures at Flora Police Department prior to posting the necessary cash bond and being released.
Wednesday, July 25 at 8:13 pm, Flora Police arrested Rodney Poole, 33, of Flora on a Clay County Warrant for Failure to Appear, following a traffic stop in the 100 block of Hagen Drive. Poole was transported to Flora Police Department, where he was unable to post the necessary cash bond and was transferred to the custody of Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
Thursday, July 26 at 12:05 am, Flora Police arrested Brian Louis-Jacques, 39, of Flora on a Clay County Failure to Appear Warrant. Louis-Jacques was unable to post the necessary bond and was transferred to the custody of Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
Thursday, July 26 at 7:48 pm, Charles Duff, 46, of Flora was issued a citation for Operating Uninsured Vehicle, following a traffic stop in the 400 block of Vincennes Avenue.
Saturday, July 28 at 11:12 am, Flora Police arrested Kalei Obasa, 26, of Flora on a Failure to Appear warrant out of Clay County. Obasa was taken to Flora Police Department, where she posted the necessary cash bond and was released.
Saturday, July 28 at 11:28 pm, Flora Police arrested Christopher O’Brien, 24, of Clay City for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, following a traffic stop on North Worthey Street. O’Brien was transported to Flora Police Department for booking procedures and released with a Notice to Appear.
Sunday, July 29 at 2:50 am, Flora Police arrested Danielle Taylor, 22, of Cisne for Driving While License Suspended, following a traffic stop on Old Hwy 50. Taylor was taken to Flora Police Department for booking and released with a Notice to Appear.
