FLORA, Ill. - Traffic and a couple of warrant services underscore the Flora Police Department report...but what's with the Criminal Trespass charges...?
Sometimes, things like this happen in waves. Let's take a look at the Flora City Police Department activity report, as provided by Chief John Nicholson, for mid-month July 2018.
Tuesday, July 10 at 7:01 pm, Flora Police arrested Melissa Hagen, 36, of Flora for Driving While License Suspended, following a traffic stop in the 1000 block of West North Avenue. Hagen was transported to Flora Police Department for booking procedures and released with a Notice to Appear.
Tuesday, July 10 at 10:25 p.m., Cody Houston, 23, of Flora was issued a citation for Disregarding a Stop Sign, following a traffic stop on Sylvia Avenue.
Wednesday, July 11 at 10:06 a.m., Flora Police arrested Kelly Novak, 48, of Flora for Criminal Trespass to State Supported Land, following an incident in the 1000 block of East North Avenue. Novak underwent booking procedures at Flora Police Department and was transferred to Clay County Jail.
Thursday, July 12 at 6:17 p.m., Layton Barnes, 23, of Flora was arrested for Driving While License Suspended, following a traffic stop in the 100 block of West 3rd Street. Barnes was released with a Notice to Appear.
Sunday, July 15 at 12:19 a.m., Jerry Shehorn, 26, of Wayne City was issued a citation for Operating Uninsured Vehicle, following a traffic stop in the 100 block of West 2nd Street.
Sunday, July 15 at 11:30 p.m., Charles Crain, 32, of Salem was issued a citation for Operating Uninsured Vehicle following a traffic stop on US Rt 45/50.
Tuesday, July 17 at 11:06 p.m., Flora Police arrested Rogelio Martinez-Rangel, 32, of Flora on a Failure to Appear Warrant for Clay County. Martinez-Rangel posted the necessary cash bond and was released with a Notice to Appear.
Thursday, July 19 at 9:32 a.m., Flora Police arrested Kelly Novak, 48, of Flora for Criminal Trespass and Resisting a Peace Officer, following an incident in the 1000 block of East North Avenue. Novak was taken to Flora Police Department for booking procedures prior to being transported to Clay County Jail.
Thursday, July 19 at 3:49 p.m., Flora Police arrested Dakota Ray, 26, of Flora for Driving While License Suspended and an Effingham County Warrant. Ray underwent booking procedures and was transferred to the custody of Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
