CARMI, Ill. - A couple of warrant arrests, each of them made in separate incidents yesterday, got two individuals locked up in Carmi.
The first was Jeffrey S. Churchwell, 45 of Carmi, who had gotten embroiled in an alleged Violation of OP at a location on the 100 block of Fifth Street in town.
Authorities were able to take Churchwell in on the call, and held him on a body attachment warrant., this occurring very early this morning, Tuesday, July 17, right before 3 a.m.
The other came in a bit earlier, this after Crystal M. Boaz, 37, had gotten into an altercation with a male subject.
She was arrested last night (Monday, July 16, at about a quarter to 9) on a Richland County warrant for Failure to Appear on an Obstruction of Justice (Destroying Evidence) case, this after she was observed walking down Fifth Street at Fackney.
Both Churchwell and Boaz remained housed in the White County Jail in Carmi as of this afternoon.
Additionally, Carmi officers handled a report of a stolen cell phone.
Michael York, 43, of Carmi, reported to police that his cell phone was stolen out of his father's vehicle. The phone is a silver Samsung Galaxy S8-Plus. A report was taken, but no further info was available.
