CARMI, Ill. - Carmi Police are announcing that Harold Artice Ivy, the 18-year-old accused of viciously beating a Carmi man last week, is in custody.
Ivy, who at his tender age has already been a problem for a number of years (and recently, had gotten in trouble at the alternative school in Norris City), was located in the town of Washington in Daviess County, Indiana, earlier today, according to Carmi Police, and extradited back to White County reportedly this evening.
CPD has been in charge of the investigation into the brutal beating of Toby Sanders, a Carmi man, early last week, as well as attacking another local man, Jonathan Smith, and busting a window on Smith's car.
Another kid at the scene, Leif Harper, has been questioned about his role in the situation, but no charges have been filed.
Ivy, however, is facing two counts of Aggravated Battery and a count of Criminal Damage to Property.
At this time, we have no firm information on Sanders' condition, but unofficial reports have it that he has not improved since the beating.
