CRAWFORD CO., Ill. - A Bridgeport man is in further trouble in Crawford County after the ensuing investigation following his recent arrest has lead to a serious charge.
As a result of a continued investigation from Officer Brandon Carpenter's traffic stop on June 13, 2018 where a loaded weapon was recovered, this morning (Monday, June 25), Chief Jeff Besing filed an additional charge against Nathan D. O'Dell, 29 of Bridgeport, for Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Class 2 felony.
Chief Besing discovered through his investigation that the Ruger Blackhawk 357 caliber firearm found in O'Dell's possession on June 13 had been stolen from a residence in Bridgeport in neighboring Lawrence County.
Assisting Chief Besing in his investigation was Deputy Andrew Rotman of the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office.
