PRINCETON, Ind. - A fire at the scene of a train derailment outside of Princeton, Indiana, was being worked this evening in that section of Gibson County.
The fire was reported to us at about 8:30, but had occurred at some point in time shortly before, initially as an explosion.
Authorities are keeping folks away from the area, which is reportedly not far from the Toyota plant between Princeton and Ft. Branch.
It's being reported that there are propane tanks involved in the derailment, as well as petroleum.
We are unaware of any injuries, but have learned that there have been several people removed from the area (these were apparently people wanting to see the fire, not folks who reside in the area).
