McLEANSBORO, Ill. - A pizza joint in McLeansboro was robbed late Wednesday night, and authorities are asking for info from the public.
Local authorities said that Wednesday (May 30) at approximately 10:18 p.m. the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received a 911 call from a female that Auten’s Pizza had just been robbed.
Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, McLeansboro Police Department and the Illinois State Police all responded to the scene.
The suspect is believed to be male; around 5-foot-8, and was wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie, with a medium build. Authorities are advising that NO WEAPON was displayed. The suspect fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash in a green Banterra Bank bag.
