WHITE CO.—The Sportsmen’s Club in Enfield was the scene of a dangerous weekend incident with the pictured gentleman at the heart of it.
According to eyewitnesses, Sonny D. Southall, 28, who has no discernible criminal record and little we could find except a couple of traffic tickets, came into the bar in the early morning hours of Sunday, June 2, 2013 (we don’t have an exact time, but there were plenty of patrons reportedly there), appearing to be under the influence of something, waving a gun and pointing it at peoples’ chests.
The incident prompted quite the uproar to break out, termed by one witness as “mob action issues,” until White County Sheriff’s officials and Illinois State Police arrived, quelled the whole situation, and took Sonny D into custody.
He was booked at the White County jail on a preliminary count of Aggravated Assault, but we’ll like find out there’ll be more to come once Denton Aud, White’s State’s attorney, gets ahold of it tomorrow.
