SALINE CO., Ill./HICKMAN CO., Ky. - Residents of the little community of Wasson in Saline County between Eldorado and Muddy are getting a respite from the ongoing violent antics emanating from one of the residences there, after the crim behind it all was locked up in Kentucky yesterday.
And this could signal a definite change for the embattled neighbors of Dan and Tammy Curry, whose fights have escalated to include alleged gunfire that could endanger neighbors of the two if it persists.
Reports out of Hickman County, Kentucky, however, indicate that it all might be coming to a close now, as Dan Curry is out on recog bonds in several recent Saline County charges.
Curry, 44, was arrested in Hickman County, Kentucky after an incident in which it's reported that his wife Tammy was driving, and the two were involved in what around here is called a "rolling domestic" (fighting in the vehicle), this at around 6 p.m. Reports indicate that Curry grabbed the emergency brake while they were rolling, which prompted Tammy Curry to pull into a driveway and get out of the car.
She is reported to have run to a residence for help. A call was made to 911 and authorities arrived at some point, speaking to eyewitnesses in the area.
Dan Curry was taken into custody and lodged in the county jail, where he's currently being held on a 4th degree Assault count with minor injury.
He's set for a court appearance tomorrow (Monday, March 5) in Hickman County. Saline County authorities have been notified.
What this will mean for his recog (no cash) bond in Saline remains unknown as yet, but under terms of the most recent incident, there was a no-contact order issued naming his wife...so he wasn't supposed to be with her yesterday to even begin with. We're working on learning whether he was also not supposed to leave the state; that matter will likely come up once his local files are updated. When we learn it, we'll post; be watching.
