PEORIA—A bar in downtown Peoria was the site of a violent armed robbery, Sunday, May 26 after the bartender asked a patron a simple question: to show some ID.
According to reports, at approximately 7:30 p.m. this past Sunday, a pair of men walked in and sat down at the bar inside the Judge’s Chamber Bar & Grill, located at 514 Main Street.
The pair are said to have ordered Bud Light Lime and when a female bartender asked to see their identification, one of them jumped up and grabbed her by the hair.
The pair made their way behind the bar.
One of the men held a gun to the bartender’s head and demanded money.
Once they had the cash, the pair fled.
Authorities are asking anyone with any information to contact police.
