CLAY CO., Ill. – Late December was a busy time for the Clay County Sheriff’s department, and Sheriff Andy Myers has issued information as to what has been going on between the 22nd and 31st.
On Dec. 22, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Charles Mainer, 52, Flora, for Driving While Driver's License Suspended. He was given a Notice to Appear and released.
Dec. 27, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Marcus Pierson, 41, Decatur, for Driving While Driver's License Suspended. Bond set at $1,500.00 (10 percent). Pierson was also wanted on an outstanding Peoria County warrant for a Traffic Violation. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond and was released.
Dec. 28, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy cited Daniel J. Jackson, 40, Mason, for Excessive Noise/Loud Muffler. He was given a Notice to Appear in Clay County Court.
Dec. 30, Aaron Winchester, 22, Flora, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Petition to Revoke Probation on the original charge of Aggravated Battery. Bond set at $25,000.00 (10 percent). He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.
Dec. 30, Sara Beth Groves, 29, Geff, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of 2 counts of Retail Theft. Bond set at $5,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. She is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.
Dec. 30, Jean Paul Tilton, 31, Flora, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of 2 counts of Retail Theft. Bond set at $5,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.
Dec. 31, the Clay County Sheriff's Office was notified of a motor vehicle accident at 4:10 p.m. at the 600 Block of Broadway Street in Louisville. Apparently Marty J. Milligan, 61, Clay City, operating a 2008 Toyota was parked in the 600 Block of Broadway street facing west. Regan Rubsam, 23,Louisville, operating a 2007 Mitsubishi was travelling west and did not see Milligan's vehicle and struck Milligan's vehicle. Milligan was cited for Improper Parking on the Roadway. He was given a Notice to Appear in Clay County Court. Rubsam was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. He was given a Notice to Appear in Clay County Court. No injuries reported.
Dec. 31, George Thomas Grove, 39, Olney, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Violation of Order of Protection, 4 counts. Bond set at $50,000.00 (10 percent). He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.
