CLAY CO., Ill. - The Clay County Sheriff's report for this week includes something that's happened in the area not a few times this month (and which you'll see with the next print edition, on stands a week from today) - kids either getting away from the people watching them, or just up and running into, a street.
Sheriff Andy Myers reports the following, part of which will have elaboration in the upcoming print edition:
On December 14, Kevin R. Frutiger, 28, Clay City, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse. Bond set at $25,000.00 (10 percent). He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail. Fruitiger will be featured in the upcoming print edition, on stands Wednesday, December 28; his situation actually covers Clay AND Jasper counties.
Dec. 20, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Timothy Landreth, 33, Louisville, for Violation of Probation on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Bond set at $15,000.00 (10 percent). Landreth is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.
Dec. 20, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Andrew Bissey, 18, Clay City for Violation of Probation on the original charge of DUI/drugs. Bond set at $15,000.00 (10 percent). He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.
And lastly is the kid-running-into-the-road: On Dec. 21, the Clay County Sheriff's Office was notified of an accident involving a pedestrian and a motor vehicle at 11:50 a.m. Apparently Amanda J. Peterson, 34, Xenia, was operating a Chevrolet travelling north on Hwy 45 at Monroe Street, Louisville, when a 15-year-old male ran into the roadway, causing Peterson to strike him. The juvenile was cited for Pedestrian Failed to Yield at Intersection. No injuries report.
