FLORA, Ill. – Apparently the Thanksgiving holiday and weekend following made an impression on folks in the city of Flora; the police report is a slim one so only a few people allegedly misbehaved.
And the first report involved some boys from up north a ways; specifically, Jasper and Cumberland counties.
This would be what happened on Wednesday, November 23 at 9:07 pm, when Flora Police arrested Gunner McMechan, 19, of Greenup and Nathan Carter, 18, of Hidalgo for Illegal Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor, following a traffic stop in the 800 block of East North Avenue. McMechan and Carter where transported to Flora Police Department for booking procedures and released with a Notice to Appear.
On Friday, November 25 at 11:46 pm, Flora Police arrested Scott Robinson, 25, of Flora for Unlawful Use of a Firearm and Possession of Controlled Substance, following an incident in the 100 block of East North Avenue. Robinson was transported to Flora Police Department for booking procedures before being transferred to custody of Clay County Sheriff’s Department.
And then in the last incident in the report, on Saturday, November 26 at 1:52 am, Jeffrey Eikenhorst, 50, of Flora was arrested by Flora Police for Domestic Battery, following an incident in the 700 block of West Street. Eikenhorst underwent booking procedures at Flora Police Department and was then transported to Clay County Jail.
