LAWRENCE CO.—A popular watering hole was the scene last night (04.07.13) for a couple of Lawrence County’s worst to be caught up doing their “thing.”
Sources have advised that The Towne House bar and grill was close to closing when two of Lawrence’s most vile punk cops came stumbling in, obviously already drunk, and began hitting on young females at the facility. The two, on-leave Lawrence County deputy Dennis York and part-time St. Francisville police chief Billy “PeeWee” Darnell, were doing their ‘thing’ and doing it without reprisals from the local constabulary, as you will see.
What makes the situation all the more obscene is that York isn’t even a cop right now; at least he can’t call himself one, as his credentials, FOID card and weapons have been removed following a situation about two weeks ago wherein he’s alleged to have verbally assaulted, then physically battered, Lawrence County prosecutor Chris Quick…yet that’s exactly what witnesses reported overhearing York telling the young girls.
A little while later they were buying drinks for some very young girls, telling them how they were police officers in an effort to appear to “get on their good side.” This effort also included telling the girls they (the “cops”) both could help the girls if they were to get into trouble in the county.
Witnesses advised that after the bar closed, there was the usual cop posted across the street watching those leaving the business. The two “officers” reportedly approached the cop (leaning on each other as they did) and talked to this real officer. A few minutes later this cop got out of the city cruiser and faced away from the bar as Pee-Wee and York poured themselves into their cars and drove off.
Typical Lawrence County/Lawrenceville fare, but very disturbing; especially in light of York’s upcoming court appearance on the civil no-contact order Quick has filed against him. That case will be heard for a two-year order on April 15; be watching for the outcome here at the website.
