HARDIN CO.— The charges against a Rosiclare woman and former secretary to a prominent attorney who was charged in January with representing herself as an attorney have been dismissed.
Be that as it may, her legal troubles don’t appear to be over.
Julie Hobbs, 46, of 702 Mill St., Rosiclare, was charged with a single count of False Peronsation of an Attorney on Jan. 11.
She was released from custody the same day after a $150 cash bond was posted on her behalf.
The charges against her were dismissed during a March 1 preliminary hearing after judge Paul Lamar found there was not sufficient evidence to bind her over for trial.
A source close to the investigation said the evidence sent off to the state police crime lab could not be processed in a timely enough manner, leading to the insufficient evidence ruling by judge Lamar.
Hobbs’ legal woes are not over, however.
On February 1 charges were filed against her alleging that on Jan. 4 at 7 p.m. she interfered with child visitation after authorities say she failed to provide Jeffrey Dutton with their minor child as outlined in a court order signed by a judge in 2003, thus depriving Mr. Dutton of his rights to visitation.
She was issued a citation for Unlawful Visitation Interference.
