2:45 p.m UPDATE: We have received word that the male suspect was taken to Lawrence County by a good Samaritan. While en route, county police contacted the good Samaritan, he stopped at the KBJ gas station in Bridgeport where police apprehended the suspect. The female is still at large.
RICHLAND CO.—Preliminary reports are coming in from a scanner listener that had heard of a pursuit taking place at approximately 1:30 p.m., Thursday, February, 21, 2013 on Rte. 130 Post Lane area south of Olney. The incident took place as a result of a break-in. No word on where the break-in occurred yet.
4810 E. Mt. Pleasant Ln., Olney
The pursuit was said to be short lived when they ‘dumped’ the truck off by the ‘old dump’ located at 4810 E. Mt. Pleasant Ln.
One male and one female was said to have been in the truck. The male was reported to have been seen by a driver running across the highway at Big Creek in front of the driver heading west.
The Richland County Sheriff Department is said to be searching the Big Creek Woods Memorial Nature Preserve and searching west and north west of the old dump.
