UPDATE 3 p.m. (approximately)
Officials have reported that west of Lawrence, about an 1/8 mile into Bridgeport township, a 2005 Freightliner was being driven by Timothy Shelton, of Terre Haute out of Sumner, when he failed to see Tina Beam of Hildago, driving a 2010 Ford Edge vehicle while she was making a right hand turn. Shelton said he couldn’t see the vehicle because it was sunrise and the sun was in his eyes as he was driving east. By the time he viewed Beam’s car it was too late and he crashed into Beam’s vehicle, causing the front of his box truck to be damaged with his truck ending up with the rear end in the ditch. Beam’s car also sustained damages. Both drivers are alright.
Here’s the earlier report, which we got to a little late because news is popping all over:

More on this as we get it.
