SALINE CO.—Folks in the Carrier Mills and Harrisburg area, and actually throughout Saline County, are asked to be aware that a convicted sex offender is being sought after an alleged beating and rape of a local woman last night.
Sources have confirmed that the person being sought is Michael Irvin, 32, a convicted sex offender, from Carrier Mills.
Details are flooding in and we’re trying to sort them, but they’re sketchy. What we’re hearing is that this Michael Irvin allegedly caught his girlfriend in Harrisburg with another guy, and he and three other men went after both the girlfriend (whose name we’re withholding for right now) and the guy, beating them both badly (injuries may include skull fractures) and sodomizing the girl, whose age is reported to be 23. Unofficial sources are indicating that the sodomy was done with broomsticks.
Authorities have been searching for Irvin since about 4 a.m. this morning.
