UPDATE 8 A.M. 02.08.13

A relative of Marcus Adams has contacted us via Facebook to confirm that he was indeed the one shot, and Fletcher is arrested (although there’s no evidence of that yet) in the shooting, although we’ve no confirmed official charges; in Richland County, it could go either way (example: Adams could be charged with breaking in to the place). Adams is doing well even after being shot, according to family. We’ll leave the rest of the post intact as it was put up late last night to show that A) we do issue clarifications and B) we don’t try to cover it up….and remember, as of now, you’re reading about it here ONLY.

RICHLAND CO.—Details are VERY preliminary (because it is, after all, Richland County, where they’ve shut down most communications including scanner traffic unless you have a specific type), but we’re receiving word of a shooting on Shell Road in Richland County.

According to preliminary reports, two young men, reportedly Marcus Adams (who continues to be in trouble in many counties in our readership area) and a roommate, reportedly Jordan Fletcher, got into it at some point over the past couple of days. Fletcher or Adams one had moved out, but apparently very early this morning (Thursday, February 7, 2013), whichever one allegedly decided to “access” the residence at about 4 a.m. As a result of this, Fletcher or Adams was the recipient of gunshot wounds to the legs. The shooter, according to our sources, was Adams the other roommate. (this is ambiguous because there’s been NO news coming out about this from Richland; bear with us while we sort it out).

Whether Adams  the one roommate knew or not that it was Fletcher the other he was allegedly aiming at remains a matter of investigation at this point; however, it’s our understanding that whichever one was taken into custody at the Richland County jail (aka Andy’s House of U-Been-Bad). The website does not show him currently as a detainee, however, as you can see by clicking on the link. Reportedly, there’s been a deputy/deputies at the residence since this alleged incident took place.

Then again, this is Richland County, where the secrecy of serious crimes (such as the Brandon Jenkins issue, and more lately, the missing person/homicide of Ed Hataway) is thick.

Rest assured that we will cut through it in this one.

More in the morning as we can get it.
