CLAY CO.—The former clerk for the village of Louisville was found dead in her home this morning by her very young daughter mother (CORRECTED).
Jodi Daws, 37, of Louisville, was found unresponsive by her mother this morning in her home after her 8-year-old daughter had caught the bus to school. Unofficially, we’ve been told that a brain aneurysm is suspected as the cause of death.
Regular readers will recall that Daws was arrested almost a year ago (February 15, 2012) and charged with an incident of Possession of a Controlled Substance (prescription medication). She only recently resolved that case, taking a guilty plea to the Class 4 felony on December 10, 2012, and receiving in exchange for her plea 24 months probation, drug treatment, 30 hours public service work, and $2,17 in fines and fees, of which only $1,020 (the amount of her bond plus a service fee) has been paid.
More if we get it; however, keep the little girl in your thoughts and prayers, as that had to be a dreadful thing to experience, and considering after everything else she’s gone through.
