WE ARE SICK OF OUR BASIC CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS BEING ABROGATED BY LEGISLATORS

UPDATE

PLEASE VISIT THIS LINK AND FILL OUT A “WITNESS SLIP” FOR THIS VOTE TODAY BEFORE 11, WHEN THE VOTE WILL BE TAKEN. ON THE “REPRESENTATION” FIELD, TYPE “LAW-ABIDING GUN OWNERS OF ILLINOIS.” YOU MAY FILL ONE OUT FOR EVERY MEMBER OF YOUR HOUSEHOLD.

Our Illinois State legislators don’t have the rights of their constituents in mind; they only have their own asses they’re looking out for.

Why do we say that?

Because they fear an armed populace, as they are systematically taking away our rights daily. An armed populace can, by force, turn this country around and restore our constitutional rights just as they did when this country was first started. People who do wrong fear those who are legally armed. That’s the bottom line.

Now our legislators—a handful of people against an army of free citizens—want to take away our rights to own the kind of weapon that we choose to use for self-protection, not only against intruders or others who seek to do us harm on our own property, but against tyrants who believe that their selfish carcasses are worth more than the rest of us. They have armed security, or special dispensation to carry weapons themselves. WE are just up shit creek.

Today, a vote gets taken in the Illinois Senate to see if the reprehensible House Bill 1263 will pass as it stands with amendment #5 attached, as voted upon by a committee yesterday. This was backdoor, sneakyass legislation that was inserted into the bill, which, of all things, originated as a child sex offense law. Those who vote against it today need to be strong enough to withstand the “oh, you don’t support laws against child sex predators?” bullshit. This is where you come in.

You need to contact each of these senators and politely express your disgust at this abomination that is an abrogation of our Second Amendment rights in illinois. Tell them that the Constitution, which is the ultimate law of the land, does NOT define what types or calibers of weapons we can or cannot use in an effort to protect ourselves, our family and our property. Tell them the Supreme Court has ruled that legislators have for years been violating our Second Amendment rights in Illinois and that we demand said legislators now CEASE such violations. Tell them to vote “NO” to the amendment, and any subsequent attempt at further taking our Second Amendment rights from us. The senators represent us, not themselves. Enough is enough.
