LAWRENCE CO.—We’ve had a confirmed report of a van on fire on Jefferson Street behind Hardee’s in Lawrenceville. The vehicle is reported as being fully engulfed in flames.
We don’t know the origin of the fire, but now is a good time to remind people NOT TO IDLE YOUR VEHICLE FOR TOO LONG in cold weather, regardless of how much snow or ice might be on your windshield. This is bad for your vehicle, as per this website, and can result in these kinds of fires (as some of us have learned through personal experience).
