SALINE CO.— We have just learned there was a standoff this morning, Tuesday, December 25, in Eldorado at 1128 Benton St. involving the Illinois State Police Tactical Response Team.
Official sources say the standoff, being described as a “domestic over a girlfriend,” began at approximately 2 a.m. and lasted nearly six hours until 8 a.m. at the end of which one person was taken into custody with no injuries being reported.

The person in custody has been identified by authorities as Kory Stricklin, 27.
Authorities report that when the tactical team arrived on scene Stricklin refused to come out of the house prompting the standoff. He later gave himself up without incident several hours later.
