SALINE CO.—We are learning of a very bad traffic accident in Saline County having occurred about 7 p.m., with LifeFlight having been called.
Ambulances were called in from Gallatin County, but the exact location of the accident remains unknown to us at this time; we’re waiting on more information, such as whether it occurred on the eastern side of the county and thus warranting the call-in from Gallatin, or some other reason as-yet unknown.
When we learn more, we’ll post it. If you’re aware of anything, feel free to post.
UPDATE: (10:19 p.m.) Wreck occurred on Rt. 145 near Winkleman Road. No where near Galltin County. More toward Pope County line which would have made a Saline County ambulance a LOT closer instead of calling an ambulance across almost two counties, again while ambulances were ready to roll closer in Saline County. Reports are there were two victims; one victim was ejected from the car and another victim trapped under a car. One of those two victims, a female from Stonefort, have been reported dead and the other was LifeFlighted to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.
