Here are your print headlines for the November/December 2012 print version of Disclosure Heartland, on stands in all north county locations. This issue is on stands until on or about December 14/15; we’re trying to work a new print schedule that enables us to get all papers on stands in two days instead of three, so bear with us. Something new this month is the direct link to the e-Edition article!
Each print headline is preceded by the dateline (where the information in the article took place) and followed by a brief synopsis. This issue has a number of remarkable articles and information that didn’t make it to the website; feel free to join our online membership and get the e-Edition of this print version delivered right here to your computer or phone, or get out and visit our vendors to pick up a copy and save it for posterity…this is one you’ll want to keep.
This issue will be on stands for the full four weeks as we’ve taken a little break before we launch into another round of issues every-three-weeks between Dec. 15 and February 15. That means there’ll be TWO issues in January; a bonus for subscribers of both the print version by mail and e-Edition online, as you get two papers for the price of one month’s worth…so be sure you subscribe in some form; 2013 is looking like it’s going to be an amazing year for us, and we have extra editions planned and remarkable changes in coverage area and expansion.
Now without further ado, here are your print headlines!
BRIDGEPORT—INDICTED: The FULL story of how Bridgeport mayor Max Schauf was brought down to the level of a Raymond Martin…and, as usual, how we called it in 2008….right down to the damn city checks he was caught allegedly cashing for his own purposes.
LAWRENCE CO.—Remains still unidentified—ISP aware of concerns of Ed Hataway family: More detailed information on the skeletal remains found alongside U.S. Highway 50 just east of the Sumner turn…along with heretofore unpublished photos of the creek site where it was found.
NEWTON—Bomb threat called in at high school: And still more material that we followed closely online, but this has considerably more detail.
RICHLAND CO.—County sponsored meth dealer charged: Hard to believe, but they’re at it again: Andy Hires and David Hyde have another “designated place” where dope is being sold…..and they won’t tell anyone where it is, so how can we know what to avoid?
CRAWFORD CO.—Sex crimes, DUI drugs and theft featured on police report: Crawford crim roundup.
CLAY CO.—Two major cases in Clay County reach outcomes: For those of you who wondered what happened with the Howard Weidner cases, here it is. For those of you who wondered what happened with the Ellery Thomas case, we’ve got that too, but not in the detail you’ve been demanding, because it was a stipulated plea agreement. You’ll just have to read the article to understand.
JASPER CO.—New county board officers take seats, get down to county business: Jasper County had three board members retire this go-round, taking 50 years of experience with them.
CRAWFORD CO.—Idiot charged with threatening officer on recorded jail telephone: No one ever said Jody Stifle was very smart. This article removes all doubt.
CRAWFORD CO.—Doper ‘Prozac’ charged with yet another DUI; will anything be done this time?: David what’s-his-name from notoriety in Wabash, Lawrence and now Crawford. This guy deserves whatever he has coming to him…as long as it’s not a slap on the wrist and probation.

109th DISTRICT — City’s campaign contribution coming back to bite all involved; Colvin whining on tape

ELECTION FOLLOW-UP
JASPER CO.—Deputy defeated for circuit clerk; incumbents hold strong

CLAY CO.—Circuit clerk, ballot questions highlight election day, prompt good turnout
COLES CO.— Few surprises in Coles Co. election

CUMBERLAND CO.— Split field leaves circuit clerk in; Independent takes prosecutor
JASPER CO.—Arson suspect has appearance in court: Travis Ferguson in a little piece about how he’s probably really happy Kevin Parker won re-election as state’s attorney.
RICHLAND CO.—Don’t worry, he’ll be back: We had to let the massive tome that is the recounting of the past two years of our life in the court system, first over Ev’s guardianship case, then over an insane and bogus Order of Protection, go this month as our news budget on the election wrap-up as well as massive breaking stories like Max being indicted ate up the 28 pages. We have a planned remedy for that as of the December 14/15 issue….and you are going to be thrilled with that solution.
