RICHLAND CO.— An Indiana woman has been charged with delivering methamphetamine in June. As usual, authorities will not explain to the public why it has taken five months to file the charge.

Both Richland County sheriff Andy Hires and state’s attorney David Hyde have raised a substantial amount of funds for the county budget in fines and fees allowing drug offenders arrested back out on the street to sell to locals in order to bump up arrest numbers.

According to information filed in the case, on or about June 13, Jaclyn A. Hurst (Stucker), 33, of 417 Buncin St., Vincennes, Ind., allegedly delivered less than 15 grams of a substance containing meth.

As with other confirmed county-run drug operations, this crime “allegedly” took place at one of the mysterious “designated place”-es, as did a majority of Hires’ other drug crimes he has incarcerated and Hyde has prosecuted individuals for more than two years now.

Even after the cases have moved through the court system, Hires and Hyde refuse to release investigative documents as is mandated by state law out of fear irrefutable evidence of their taxpayer supported drug operation will be revealed.

As if the Hires/Hyde combine isn’t bad enough, secretly appointed associated judge Kimabra Harrell, who by virtue of being an “associate judge” isn’t supposed to hear felony cases, has been busy signing arrest warrants involving felony charges and the “designated place.”

It seemed Ms. Hurst may have begun her drug dealing for county authorities as early as January or April after she was picked up for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis and handed 12 months conditional discharge as punishment.

Psych eval ordered for accused batterer

Matthew P. Hahn, 37, of 226 South Elliott, Olney has been charged with one count of Aggravated Battery after police say on October 17, at 10:18 a.m. and while at 300 East Chestnut he committed battery when he knowingly caused bodily harm to Diane Buss when he grabbed Ms. Buss by the arm while on or about a public way.

On November 2 judge Larry Dunn granted a motion by defense attorney Charles Bradley Vaughn for Hahn to undergo a psychological examination to determine his mental fitness to stand trial.

Hahn was just convicted Oct. 11 of Criminal Damage to Government Property and was sentenced to 24 months probation, which his recent arrest clearly violates, and ordered to pay $1,500.17 in fines, fees and restitution of which he still owes $1,499.17.

Stoneberger has another outstanding charge from Oct. 11 of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Mr. Stoneberger was released from custody on the battery charge Nov. 27 after a $3,500 cash bond was posted on his behalf by Sheila Cooper of 408 State Rd., Grayville, which is the address he put down on his bond sheet indicating where he would be living.

Special terms of Stoneberger’s release is that he remain away from Ms. Reid.
