HARDIN CO., Ill.—The Hardin County Courthouse in Elizabethtown has been evacuated and will remain closed down for the rest of the day, according to officials, this on account of a gas leak.
The leak was detected earlier today; gas crews are on the scene right now and will remain until the source is found and addressed.
We’ve not been told that anyone was injured due to the leak, so apparently everyone was able to get out okay when it was discovered.
Authorities have told us that they anticipate the leak will be fixed and the courthouse will resume operations as usual in the morning, Friday, December 12, 2014.
IF that changes, however, we’ll let you know.
