WILLIAMSON CO., Ill.—The short answer is: nothing.
We’re talking about the accident on November 12, 2014, that took the life of a well-known Sesser man, Terry Rawson, 57, when he was traveling Stotlar Road west of Marion on his motorcycle. Reports indicate that Rawson was struck while making a turn by a vehicle being driven by Brittany Lane, 27, of Marion.
And the rest can be read at this link, as well as this link.
Mainstream media has done apparently what they consider bang-up job making sure that there is no real focus on Lane, the girlfriend (currently, anyway) of a Sesser trooper, Justin Mitchell. After all, she’s only been cited with two traffic tickets, Following Too Closely and Failure to Reduce Speed.
However, our stats here at Disclosure show that the PUBLIC’S focus is most certainly on Lane, who, if she had been stopped years ago with her erratic driving instead of allegedly using her attributes to get out of speeding and other traffic tickets (which she readily admits, as anyone who has known her since she’s been driving can attest), might have lost her license and subsequently Rawson would have been alive today.
Those are our top posts for the past 30 days as screenshot a couple of nights ago. As you can see, the public doesn’t think much of Lane’s ways of getting through life (“nasty brittany lane”). Which is why the Brittster is on the front page of this current issue, December 2014. Here now is your noontime Read the Lead for this amazing issue on stands right now, Collision kills motorcyclist, which gives you not only the whole story of Rawson’s death including details we couldn’t confirm prior to publication of the articles here at the site, but also more backstory on the Brittster and why our readers google-search “nasty brittany lane” to begin with.

WILLIAMSON CO.—A decade of unaddressed bad behavior that includes reckless driving and getting out of various traffic stops “because of who she knows” finally lead to the death of a Sesser man in early November.
Brittany Lane, 27, of Marion, was behind the wheel of a car that struck the motorcycle being operated by Terry Rawson, 57, a former coach who was on his way to watch his granddaughter play in a ball game when the accident occurred around 3 p.m. on the afternoon of November 10 on Stotlar Road between Marion and Herrin.
Because the situation involved the “badge bunny” as people across countless southern Illinois counties have come to call her, Lane has barely been held responsible in any capacity for the man’s death; in fact, two supposed traffic citations that were issued following the collision weren’t on file at the Williamson County courthouse prior to press time.
Lane’s antics, up to this point being more of an annoyance than an outrage (except perhaps to the females of the marriages she’s broken up over the years), quickly escalated to the latter category upon the advent of the wreck, especially in the days following it, when Lane spent good oxygen on blaming every aspect of the incident on the deceased man.
But more of an outrage is the fact that under the same circumstance, any other citizen would have already been charged with something as it relates to the death of the other driver, and not mere “Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident” and “Following Too Closely,” the two citations Lane was issued.
And the very fact that Lane is now reported to be “laughing it up” and enjoying the coverage the fatality has given her indicates that a very sick individual is still among the driving populace, emboldened even more to continue her poor driving habits and doing what she’s been doing since a very young age in order to get by with what she has.
Destructive lifestyle
The history of Lane has gone on for more than a decade, after, at age 16, she married into the Sisk family in Gallatin County, promptly divorced, and proceeded on her way to lust after any man wearing a badge (thus prompting the “badge….
