JACKSON CO., Ill.—A large number of responders have been activated to locate a missing hunter in Jackson County.
According to the little bit of information we’re able to obtain, an adult male is missing from hunting earlier today, possibly in the Ava area of Jackson County, as Ava Fire Department was just toned out before 8 p.m. this evening (Saturday, December 6, 2014).
Earlier, the search seemed to have been focused on a body of water in the area, as Jackson County Sheriff’s Department was calling for a boat, and were advising that the “ceiling was too low” for air operations to be conducted in the area.
The search teams are gathering in an area on Possum Road, according to what we’ve been able to learn, and people are out on ATVs looking at this hour.
