It’s your next-to-the-last of 2014’s offerings in Disclosure’s December 2014 issue (meaning we’ll have SIXTEEN issues having been produced in 2014…a record!!), which hit the stands on Tuesday and all vendors now have their copies! So what’s next…? THIS MONTH’S PRINT HEADLINES, of course!
Print headlines provide you with a way to see what’s in the current issue, both in print and online at the e-Edition, which has all the articles of the print version as well as all feature photos and whatever we produce in print. Print Headlines also gives you a quick link straight to the article your choice, which you can read right here at the comfort of your computer or other electronic device if you have an online membership to the e-Edition….if you don’t, you might want to get one, as we’re going begin archiving in January 2015 as promised…and the only access you’ll have to the e-Edition at the $5.99 per month price will soon be just the previous year’s issues; other years (dating back to July 2012) will be at a premium rate…so get clicking!
Print Headlines are organized by front page, back page (a second front page), pages 2 and 3 if they carry separate articles, features or pages 12/13, Egypt, Heartland and Central, then Op-Ed. They are preceded by the dateline (where the material in the article originated), and followed by a brief synopsis, Disclosure-style (which often means snarky and brutal, however, most people with a sense of humor just call it “funny”). And now, without further ado, we present to you THIS MONTH’S PRINT HEADLINES!

PAGE 1
EDWARDS CO.—County hires former chief: Gun runner/antiques dealer/pseudo-cop/woman-hater Harv Fenton, after a couple of years of absence, is back on the front page again…because much of Edwards County thought they were rid of this menace in late October when he retired as West Salem’s “chief of police”…but it turns out they were wrong. And why is that photo of a bunch of trash on the front page…? Read the entire article to find out!
SALINE CO.—Women’s center under AG investigation in Saline: We’ve been hearing the grumblings for a year and a half, and now, we’ve finally found the basis for them: There’s something BIG allegedly going on at the Anna Bixby Women’s Center in Harrisburg, and we’re telling you the real deal (at least the beginnings of it) right here in print. And yes, most of what you’ve heard about it up to this point is right on target; we just needed to get confirmation on it before running with the article in print, and now we have.
WILLIAMSON CO.—Collision kills motorcyclist: Note we did not say “The Brittster kills motorcyclist.” And not just because she hasn’t been convicted yet. It’s because she hasn’t been CHARGED. Why is this twit allowed to get away with such a thing? Read this informative article for the examination of that answer.
WAYNE CO.—Is a sex slave trade to blame for disappearances? Don’t let the dateline fool you: the originating article has to do with Wayne County, but the anecdotal material provided in the rest of it reflects something that’s going on not only nationwide, but worldwide. Is it frightening? Yes. Could it happen to you or someone you know? Most certainly. Is anyone locally taking steps to do something about it?…not necessarily. This is a very real problem, however, and it’s exacerbated by one thing that we’ve been hammering on since about nine years ago now….illegals.
BACK PAGE
WILLIAMSON CO.—Infamous murderer didn’t appear in Williamson court…but his case did: Those in the Egypt area will certainly be able to remember the 1988 murder as perpetrated by Richard Nitz. Here’s a little piece showing what’s happening in his case…and yes, things are STILL happening in his case.
SALINE CO.—Harco Road crash: Coverage of the horrific crash that occurred Saturday morning, November 29, on deadline…and which dovetailed nicely into the front-pager about the Anna Bixby Center. I don’t care WHAT people are saying about those involved in all of this: Folks who’ve dealt with that whole bunch for years know the real deal; and now, it’s time to face the music of their actions.
LAWRENCE CO.—Meth head and violent St. F man charged with pills: The alleged drug and violence trade going on in Lawrence County these past several weeks.
SALINE CO.—Eldorado man accused of concealing a fugitive: Helpful hint: if you know that cops are looking for the guy who’s hiding in your house…? Don’t lie to them. It just makes the situation worse for all involved.

TECH TALK—Getting ‘stung’ by the ‘ray’ of the cell phone capture device, the StingRay: We hope you’ve been enjoying our Tech Talk columns…because they are being produced with you in mind. What we learned in Ferguson, Missouri, was enough to make us cringe…and so we wish to pass that information along to you, so that you can prepare for what’s coming. And believe me when we tell you: It’s coming. This one is about those “fake cell phone towers”…guess what? They not really “fake”….but they’re also not really chill phone towers. Read this to see what we mean.
EGYPT
HARRISBURG—Harrisburg audit shows ongoing money problems not resolved from two years ago: You’d think that by now, with all the scrutiny, SOMEONE would get the clue that something is off with the city’s finances. But no, not when you have an auditing firm who keeps giving everything a clean bill of health.
GALLATIN CO.—Deaconess Hospital goes after disabled Ridgeway man after accident: Remember Mike Rapada, injured in a freak accident back in July of 2011? Apparently, Deaconess can’t forget him…and they’re going to make sure he knows it.
SALINE CO.—Bricklayer busted on burglary, theft, meth charges: Rodney Marcum. AGAIN. But not Angelina.
HARDIN CO.—Rosiclare man charged with locking girl in garage: A weird little tale out of Hardin County, exacerbated, of course, by the presence of Tara-ble Wallace.
SALINE CO.—Violent Marion man charged in Carrier Mills beating: Crossover crim time in Saline; we happen to have a lot of them in this issue.
HARDIN CO.—Vermont hunters bagged with six illegally harvested deer spotlighting: They got six. That’s just not nearly enough to make a difference.
GALLATIN CO.—Stolen Shawneetown motorcycle ends up in Harrisburg, lands Eldorado man behind bars: Another one of those crossover crim things. This one has all KINDS of public officials involved.
SALINE CO.—Jacksonville man breaks into home, offers juveniles drugs for a ride to McLeansboro: I’ll tell ya what I would be doing if this asshat broke into MY home. But depending on which county it is, it might not be as interesting as this article is.
GALLATIN CO.—Mob action and actual beatings highlight recent court action in Gallatin County: Three guys charged with Mob Action, but didn’t really hit anyone; one little idiot beats the crap out of his babymomma and he BARELY gets a charge. Yes, Tyler Patton. need we say more? Welcome to Allan Roe-land….
SALINE CO.—Sex offenders charged: Sex offenders who are charged with offenses other than those relating to sex with little kids. Who says these guys can rehabilitate?
WILLIAMSON CO. —Williamson County murder trial delayed further: Has Tamara Williams been “rehabilitated” enough to now stand trial? The court thinks so…but the delays continue.
SALINE CO.—Alleged thief carried dope during Walmart heist: Attention Walmart shoppers! When allegedly shoplifting at our store, please leave your dope at home so that you do not incur extra charges. Thank you for shopping at Walmart in Harrisburg!
SALINE CO.—Eldorado woman pleads to child endangerment: Saline Co crim roundup kicks off with the headlined piece.
PAGE 12 FEATURE
Cottage Township one year later: The anatomy of how a community can be destroyed by the essential mining operation. We know this has taken place all over the south counties of Egypt, but we’ve watched this one unfold right in front of us, for a year. Here’s a recap.
HEARTLAND
EDGAR CO.—Mass transit district building being converted; plaque of shame removed: An incredibly thorough, in-depth look at one of the “power players” in Edgar County who thought he escaped scrutiny. Not here. Ain’t happening.
EDGAR CO.—Isaf to deal with another homicide in Edgar: Because he did such a BANG-UP job with the last one, there just aren’t very many folks who have a lot of faith that Edgar County’s prosecutor is going to ensure that the two people facing homicide in the death of a toddler will get what they deserve (if indeed they are convicted….)
EDGAR CO.—Three Paris residents charged in theft of mail packages conspiracy scheme: Mess with the mail? Not a good idea. That three people are hemmed up by the feds in Edgar County shows, however, that that word’s not getting out.
CRAWFORD CO.—Lawrence woman charged with taking phone into Crawford jail: The Crawford County crim roundup for the past three or so weeks. With, you guessed it…CROSSOVERS!
EDGAR CO.—Success of county watchdogs have translated to savings of public funds: Whiny asshats gonna whine. But the fact is…the Edgar County Watchdogs (now known as Illinois Leaks) have done more than just shown that their county is one of the most corrupt in the state…they’ve also saved the taxpayer a ton of money, and there’s more to come.
JASPER CO.—Deputy injured during booking, drugs charged: Never a good idea to fight with cops; you just go to jail tired.
CENTRAL
HAMILTON CO.—Felons have to eat too…Felonious pair charged while hunting deer: More peeps from out of the area getting hemmed up on deer violations…with the bigger question being, why the hell would felons be hunting to begin with??
WABASH CO.—Notorious Olney woman sued in Small Claims court in Wabash: Paper hasn’t been on stands 48 hours and Amy Acord is already bitching about this article. My opinion only: She should be thrilled with this mugshot from a couple of years ago. She’s really packed on some pounds since her drug-running days.
RICHLAND CO.—Pair beaten during November Richland County burglary: And now in Richland County we have the burglars entering occupied residences. Wonderful.
LAWRENCE CO.—Methamphetamine felon threatens chief of police: The lead is “Meth has a reputation for frying people’s brains and making them stupid.” Never has this held more true than in Lawrence County.
CLAY CO.—Explosive rifle target listed as meth ingredient: Since when has Tannerite been a meth ingredient?? Watch out, peeps….if you have that stuff and you like to camp, keep your drains free of clogs, and drink copious amounts of coffee…you, too, might soon be a meth felon.
RICHLAND CO.—Mother upset over daughter’s drug bust story remains mute after second arrest: Yes, folks…Tawney Pfifer is featured in the print version. Along with the latest drug bust impacting her daughter, as promised.
WHITE CO.—White woman gets first time offender sentence, shot at rehab: White County crim roundup, with “White woman” leading the way.
WABASH CO.—Cali man faces meth charge: What’s dude come all the way to Illinois from California to do, just allegedly distribute meth? Well…stranger things have happened.
HAMILTON CO.—Hamilton convicted pot dealer charged with DUI drugs: The HamCo crim roundup.
