Edwards County — One of the lowlifes of Edwards County has been sentenced to time in the DOC after taking a plea deal in court today (Tuesday, December 2, 2014).
Isaiah D Tapia, 23, was sentenced today to 5 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, with 2 years of Mandatory Supervised Release after pleading guilty to Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 2 Felony. This sentence will run consecutive to the 30 month sentence of a second case against Tapia, which is also Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, but which is a Class 3 Felony.
In addition to his term of incarceration, Tapia has been ordered to pay fines and fees in his court cases, as well as $1,500 in special assessments for both of his convictions.
Tapia is being given time served for his incarceration from September 29, 2014, to December 2, 2014.
