HARDIN CO., Ill.—Kentucky authorities have advised motorists that the ferry across the Ohio River at Cave-in-Rock is closed today.
The Kentucky Department of Transportation has advised that high winds are the cause, and the ferry was shut down earlier today at Crittendon County, the point across the river from Hardin County, Illinois, where the ferry travels.
The ferry has been shut down since about 7 a.m. KDOT says they’ll keep everyone apprised of when it reopens.
