What the hell is a “tail packer,” anyway?

HARRISBURG—The Poor Boys supporters (the biker bar known locally as “Poor Choices,” and for good reason) are busy slamming our report yesterday, such as it was, regarding the fight that broke out Sunday night.

Injured in that fight was George Fowler, a young man who was sent to Deaconess in Evansville but has since checked himself out.

We didn’t have much information coming from the fight, as we merely got the report from the cops who handled it (and they weren’t saying much)…which is how we get MOST of our reports unless we speak to an eyewitness or witness something ourselves.

However, there are a lot of obstinate haters out there who really love sucking up to the detestable Jim Watson and his equally-questionable buddy Robert ChickenBob Wilson…and this morning we came across this gem, which we thought we’d share with you as a post while we’re in the throes of finishing up (on an EARLY print schedule) the November election edition, from Roger Cox’ Facebook page:

Status update.

Great, Rog. Except for one thing: Nobody here SAID Jim Watson “had anything to do with it.” Further, you’re just going to have to come to grips with the fact that when there’s a fight with bodily injury, EVERYBODY is going to report it whether you or others of your obvious ilk like it or not…so we suggest you get a grip.

We have heard from Mayor Eric Gregg on the matter, incidentally…and he has told us he’s awaiting more information before he decides on how to proceed. Gregg, last summer, issued stern letters to bar owners in Harrisburg about the ongoing fights, beatings and serious injuries that have resulted from them…whether he’ll follow through on this incident or not remains to be seen, but the problem is continuing, and there seems to be no end in sight.

As mentioned, we’re in the last two days of production for the election edition, so bear with us if posts are slow…deliveries kick off Thursday, so hurry and get your renewals in if you haven’t already (online e-Edition members will receive this issue under their already-paid monthly charge of $5.99…just another benefit of having an online membership!)
