EFFINGHAM, Ill.—Illinois State Police District 12, along with the Illinois Liquor Commission, conducted Alcohol Compliance Check at various establishments during the evening hours of Wednesday, November 19, 2014, in Fayette County. The purpose of an Alcohol Compliance Check is to determine which businesses may be selling alcoholic beverages to minors (persons under 21 years of age).

A total of 18 locations were surveyed in Fayette County. Of those 18 businesses, one establishment was involved in the sale of an alcoholic beverage to a minor.
