Three suspects who have been charged with killing two women, eating parts of their bodies and using their flesh to make desserts in 2012, will face a judge in court Thursday in northeastern Brazil.
Jorge Beltrao Negromonte de Silveira, his wife Isabel Cristina Pires and his mistress, Bruna Cristina Oliveira da Silva reportedly confessed to luring the women to their home by telling them they were interviewing potential nannies. The trio, who lived together in the city of Garanhuns with a young child, allegedly killed the women and used their flesh to make “empada” pastries, reports the New York Daily News. They then sold the desserts to neighbors and schools, according to police.
