SALINE CO., Ill.—The Saline County Courthouse has been reopened after a bomb threat at about 7 a.m. this morning prompted an evacuation.
Illinois State Police bomb squad was called to the scene and, along with Secretary of State Police Bomb Squad experts (who brought in a bomb-sniffing K9, a yellow lab) began sweeping the courthouse at about 8 a.m. while courthouse staff stood around in the cold.
The all clear was given at about 9:50 a.m. No bomb, nothing threatening. All is well, and business as usual is returning to the courthouse in Harrisburg.
