WILLIAMSON CO., Ill.—The fatal car v. motorcycle collision that took the life of Terry Rawson Monday wasn’t the only vehicle crash that occurred in Williamson County that day, a fact that resulted in a lot of work for authorities and confusion on the part of the public.
A second fatal crash occurred hours after the 3:11 p.m. accident involving Rawson on a motorcycle and Brittany Lane in a car: A single-car injury that took the life of a Pittsburg man, Jonathan King, 33.
According to a press release issued by Williamson County’s state’s attorney’s office, the accident happened at 7:23 p.m. on Paulton Road, just north of Galatia Post Road. At that time, a vehicle driven by King ran off the roadway and overturned several times, ejecting King from the vehicle.
King was flown to an Evansville area hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
His family has set up a gofundme page, which is currently raising money to cover expenses associated with the death of their loved one; and many are graciously donating; visit the page by clicking this link.
