LAWRENCE CO.—Young Daniel Westfall enjoyed the cuisine at Lawrence County Sheriff Russell Adams’ jail last night after he was caught in that county on an Indiana warrant.
Westfall, 30, is a registered sex offender out of Daviess County, Ind., having been convicted in 2009 on a felony count of child molesting dating back to 2007. He was originally charged with seven felony child molestation counts, these being pled dow to one, but he still couldn’t stay out of trouble, and has been “in and out of court in connection with conditions of his probation,” this according to one of our favorite radio stations, WVUB.
On October 6, two teenage girls were walking home from a haunted house event in Washington, Ind., when Westfall, who had allegedly been stalking them, is reported to have attacked both of them, stabbing and cutting them with a knife. They suffered multiple cuts to the face and neck and were transported to the local hospital, where they were treated and released; Westfall got away, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
How and why he came to be in Lawrence isn’t known at this time, nor how officers happened upon him; however, he was taken into custody yesterday morning (10.17.12), and is being held awaiting extradition back to Daviess County, Ind.
