GALLATIN CO., Ill.—In a video put up on YouTube yesterday (November 4, 2014), Gallatin County High Schools students are cheering on a classmate who has been battling a rare form of cancer but is refusing to be defeated.
In the description for the video, called “Roar for Brittany,” her classmates state this:
Brittany is a 16 year old girl, from the small town of New Haven, Illinois. She was recently diagnosed with a rare cancer, Spindle Cell Sarcoma. Her friends, classmates, and teachers at Gallatin County School traded in their school colors of orange and navy blue to Brittany’s favorite colors of purple and lime green to perform a lip dub to her theme song, Katy Perry’s “Roar.” Brittany’s positive attitude and ever-present smile continue to be an inspiration at Gallatin County. The video was made in one continuous shot in the highways of Gallatin’s K-12 school.
Here’s the video. Enjoy…and congratulate the classmates of Brittany at GCHS. This is an absolutely remarkable tribute.
