VINCENNES, Ind.—A bizarre incident occurring in Vincennes Walmart yesterday resulted in the death of a young man.
Vincennes police were called to the city’s Walmart early Tuesday at about 6:15 a.m., October 28, 2014, although no one would say what the actual call exactly entailed.
However, sources at Automotive Technology Systems (ATS) in Lawrenceville, where the deceased worked, advised that the man was reported to be Bartt Cox, 31, of Washington, Ind.
According to those same sources, Cox was walked off the premises of ATS either earlier in the morning or late at night the night before (Monday, Oct. 27). The reason why he was walked off was a vague one, having to do with “the way he was behaving,” as if it were disruptive, although these sources say he wasn’t disruptive so much as he seemed disoriented and confused. This might have been taken for being under the influence of some kind of substance. However, those reporting this to us state that they believe Cox might have been having a health-related issue, possibly having to do with blood sugar or insulin-related reaction.
Vincennes authorities are calling the death on the parking lot of Walmart a “medical incident,” so that might have some merit.
Authorities have JUST released the identity of Cox, and have scheduled an autopsy.
