SALINE CO., Ill.—A Harrisburg woman has been arrested again and charged with a host of counts stemming from misuse of funds, ostensibly from Harrisburg’s public library.
L’Erin Ragon, 32, known in Harrisburg for recently being a realtor and in Williamson County for having taken a position with a museum in April of this year, was arrested at 2:05 Wednesday (October 22, 2014) afternoon on preliminary charges of Burglary, Unlawful Use of a Credit Card, Possession of a Forged Document, Theft and two counts of Use of a Forged Document.
The charges arise from a situation at the library in Harrisburg, where it was alleged that she recently helped herself to at least one check out of the library’s checkbook, as well as possibly absconding with a credit or debit card.
A little over a year ago, Ragon was arrested on a count of DUI-drugs after a Harrisburg officer saw her driving erratically, and her name turned up in this follow-up article to that as well.
Her descent in recent years has been reportedly due to a problem with prescription pills, which it’s been well-documented that she spent hours on Facebook complaining about the lack of, and attempted to get more of, particularly Ambien.
Disclosure staff has personally observed Ragon driving in Harrisburg, dragging items she’s run over (trash can lids, etc) behind her, oblivious to her surroundings.
In recent days, on her Facebook page, Ragon had been bashing the Harrisburg library for “discriminating against” her for an unknown reason.
There’s been no word on when a first court appearance will be made; be watching for updates.
