SALINE CO., Ill.—There have been some attendant arrests made in connection with the escape of Rob Rush, the 30-year-old Hardin County man who broke from a Hardin County deputy Friday and was apprehended Saturday (see also this link).
Saline County officials have confirmed that arrests of Mackenzie Campbell, Kara Mathews and Billy Moore were all arrested over the weekend on various charges: Campbell and Mathews had arresting charges of Obstruction of Justice, Aiding/Concealing a Fugitive and Making a False Police Report. Moore’s arresting charges were Aiding and Concealing a Fugitive and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
While the circumstances aren’t clear as to how their arrests came about, our sources have advised that some of it has to do with claiming a vehicle was stolen that wasn’t stolen. Our reports indicated that Rush had stolen yet another vehicle, after allegedly stealing a four-wheeler in Elizabethtown, this second “stolen” vehicle being the one he was able to get over to St. Louis in, in order to be treated for unspecified injuries supposedly sustained in his alleged run from authorities.
We’ll have more as we can get it; keep checking back.
